LAUNCH OF BARTENDER ADVOCACY PROGRAMME
Franklin & Sons, has launched an innovative, year-long bartender advocacy programme, dedicated to empowering hospitality professionals across the UK.
As the number one choice for bartenders, Franklin & Sons is committing to investing in industry professionals by launching a partnership that will not only elevate careers, but also create a sense of belonging within the vibrant community by encouraging conversations.
The first phase of the programme sees the announcement of ten leading bartenders from around the UK appointed – ‘The Mix.’ All hailing from some of the finest bars in the UK, carefully selected for their commitment to hospitality and limitless passion for their craft.
Introducing ‘The Mix’:

- Chloe Yeung – Panda & Sons in Edinburgh
- Davide Leanza – Los Mochis City in London
- Reah Owen – Project Halcyon Distillery in Manchester
- Ewan Grieve – Lab22 in Cardiff
- Kane Gordon – Tabula Rasa in Leeds
- Elyse Von Ruinn – Charlie Brown’s in Glasgow
- David Stanley – Speak in Code in Manchester
‘Crafted Conversations’ marks the second phase of the initiative – a unique event series open to attend by all industry professionals, hosted in three venues across the country and featuring prolific industry guest speakers.
Coming to some of the UK’s most vibrant bar scenes, Manchester (9th April), Edinburgh (25th June) and London (13th August), the sessions will focus on career and skill development, with guest speakers discussing their own personal stories, as they showcase an industry topic close to their heart.
Themes for each event will tap into ‘Technique’ (Manchester), ‘Potential’ (Edinburgh) and ‘Advocacy’ (London), with the Franklin & Sons team hosting a bespoke immersive brand session on the science of carbonation and its effect on the flavour, aroma and quality of the product.
